Family Support Program

In 2012, the Family Support  Program was launched to preserve housing affordability in East Austin. The program provides financial support to long-time Eastside homeowners and helps to identify strategies to help them avoid future delinquencies. 


Applicant Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant has owned their East Austin home for 20+ years

  • Applicant lives in the 78702, 78722, 78721, or 78741 zip codes

  • Applicant earns less than 50% of the area’s median family income (MFI)

1-person household: $46,850
2-person household: $53,550
3-person household: $60,250
4-person household: $66,900
5-person household: $72,300
6-person household: $77,650
7-person household: $83,00
8-person household: $88,350

*Please note: Plans to sell or rent the property may impact eligibility for assistance, as the program is designed to support long-term homeowners and preserve owner-occupied housing in East Austin.
